Mr Tik-fan Chan Led Students To Earn 2nd Runner-up at HSUHK Inter-University FinTech Innovation Competition 2026

A team of HKBU students under GCAP3265 Entrepreneurial Innovation for Interactive Media (a General Education course initiated by Mr Tik-fan Chan, Associate Professor of Practice at the Department of Interactive Media) has achieved a remarkable success at the HSUHK Inter-University FinTech Innovation Competition 2026, securing the 2nd Runner-up award in a fiercely contested field of six local universities.

The competition, themed "Tokenization and Digital Assets Revolution," challenged participants to explore how tokenization of real-world assets and digital money could drive the next wave of financial innovation in Hong Kong.

The competition’s 2nd Runner-up award recognises the team’s innovation and the strong FinTech education offered at Hong Kong Baptist University.
