This year, as we continue to engage in the Hong Kong International Licensing Show through the Hong Kong Licensing Force, we are showcasing five original student game-art and IP projects. This exhibition highlights distinctive character designs, immersive narratives, and creative world-building from students in our Game Design & Animation and Interactive Media Publishing programmes. As Hong Kong's first specialized degrees in these fields, IMD cultivates storytellers and IP creators who bring original concepts to life across diverse media platforms. Our curriculum emphasizes content IP development through interactive and immersive experiences, alongside transmedia storytelling techniques. This approach inspires students to craft compelling characters and fictional universes while mastering IP creation and management—from conceptualization to audience engagement.
We are also excited to introduce our inaugural Summer Incubation: Content IP Lighthouse programme, launched in partnership with Mindcraft® to nurture the next generation of IP talent. Through sessions led by professional practitioners, students explore both creative mastery (original concepts, world-building, character design) and strategic architecture (business strategy, portfolio management, IP protection). We are proud to announce that LAU Tsz Yi, LI Ying Wei, and LEE Hau Yiu with their project “Doughn’t Eat Me!” received the prestigious Minds’ i Award from Mindcraft® at this year's Licensing Show.
