Dr. Paolo Mengoni is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Interactive Media at Hong Kong Baptist University. He’s serving as Associate Programme Director for the MSc in AI and Digital Media at the School of Communication. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from University of Florence, Italy. He’s a certified IT Engineer and IT Expert for Medical and Health Information Systems. Before joining the academia, he has been working as IT consultant for various projects.
Dr. Mengoni’s research focuses on Behaviour Analysis, Social Network Analysis with particular interest on Complex Network Analysis, Community Detection, Natural Language Processing, Evolutionary Computation, and Recommender Systems. His works has been published in top-tier journals such as Future Generation Computer Systems and Brain Informatics.
